Costs

Guitar and ukulele lessons are offered to 2nd graders and up, either privately, or as a class.  Private one-on-one lessons are 30 minutes in length, while classes of 2 or more students are 45 minutes in length.  Lessons and classes are offered in Mandarin, Fruit Cove, and Ponte Vedra.  Each 12-week semester for either a private lesson or a group lesson costs $384.  For guitar lessons, the necessary materials to purchase or acquire are:  Hal Leonard’s Guitar Method Book (Guitar for Kids, if student is young), a guitar tuner, and a music stand.

Make-up Policy

24 hours notice is required to properly cancel and ensure that a missed lesson will be made up.  However, sudden illness or an emergency situation will be taken into consideration.  Please note that each 12-week semester is followed by two open weeks in which I will do up to 2 make-ups if any lessons have been missed.  Any lessons that are canceled by me over and above the 2 allowed per semester will be made up or reimbursed.

Dates for 2026-2027

Session One (12 Lessons):  August 24-November 20, and also November 30 for Labor Day and December 2 for Veteran’s Day, with no classes October 12-16 and Thanksgiving Week (Monday-Friday).  Any make-ups needed would be done during December 1-14, and 16.

Session Two (12 Lessons, 10 Lessons for Monday students):  January 4-April 2, with no classes on MLK Day, President’s Day, and the week of Spring Break, March 15-19.  Any make-ups needed would be done during April 5-16.

Session Three (Number of Lessons can vary):  April 19-July 16.  Make-ups needed would be done during July 19-30, if not before.  For this session, you may also choose the dates you are able to attend and only pay for those dates.  After all, summertime is more flexible!
